Pousujärvi cottage is suitable for many kinds of vacations, and it is an excellent base for e.g. for active enthusiasts and families as well as for fishing and hunting trips. The landscapes of Käsivarrentie are in a class of their own, and in Kilpisjärvi you will meet the real Lapland with big fells.
Spacious and very well equipped holiday cottage Pousujärvi, built 2008, is located approx. 24 km south from Kilpisjärvi. It is a spot where river Könkämäeno spread to Lake Pousujärvi. Boat available, distance to the lake 100 m, road between the cabin and shore.
There are two double rooms in the downstairs and two double rooms in the attics (entrance to one of them from outside), open kitchen-living room, dressing and drying rooms, toilet and big terraces. Sauna (electric stove) and two showers.
Site for a campfire, smoking oven, parking place with heating plugs. Cabin is easy to reach all year round, located 50 m away from the main road. Phone signal is weak in the area.
Cabin is ideal for all kind of holidays; snowmobilers appreciate the location when Kilpisjärvi -Muonio route passes by the cabin in 50 m. River Könkämäeno is famous for its trout and grayling and is also located only 50 m from the cabin and wasteland in the surroundings offers outstanding views for the hikers year round. Area is reindeer management area so it is very likely to see reindeer, even in the cabin yard. And because the cabin is very well equipped, you may focus on your hobbies and enjoy your holiday!
Distance to Kilpisjärvi 25 km (grocery shop, gas station, restaurants and Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre) and to Enontekiö airport 135 km.
Fishing-area: 1551 Enontekiö wilderness and 2502 Tornionjoki-Muonionjoki-Könkämäeno(www.eraluvat.fi). Fishing possible in the river of Könkämäeno, about 50 m from the cabin. Area information: www.outdoors.fi/en/kasivarsi
