Log cabin situated in the eastern Finland by lake Hoikan Kylkeinen, distance 30 m. The shore has a shallow sandt bottom, but is is rocky.
Two bunk beds in living room, indoor sauna. Wood stove heating, site for an open fire and shelter, water well, rowing boat and life jackets. Lighting by solar panel electricity and candles.
The well water has not been tested, so we recommed to bring drinking water with you or boil drinking water.
You can get to the cabin*s yard by car when there is no snow. Road Hoikan Kylkeisentie is not plowed. Please note this when booking for the end of autumn.
WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.
Stock of fish in lake Hoika-Kylkeinen: perch, pike and lavaret. The State Fishing Management Fee needed for lure fishing and netting people >18-year and <65-year. Angling and ice-fishing free of charge.
The cabin can be reached by car during summer. Available for rent: June-October.
