Kolopiipun Hammas is a log built wilderness cabin in Kittilä, nearby Raattama village, location by the river Ounasjoki.
Livingroom/kitchen, sleeping alcove with double bed, loft (15 m²) with 4 mattresses.
Sauna in separate building, site for open fire, rowing boat. Water from river, boiling the drinking water is recommended.
WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling.
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.
Nearest village Raattama (shop, restaurant) 4,5 km. Pallas ski resort 24 km, Pallas National Park 6 km (www.nationalparks.fi/pallas-yllastunturinp), Olos 40 km, spa hotel Levitunturi 50 km.
Good possibilities for fishing and berry picking. Fishing license to the river Ounasjoki from Raattama village shop.
Cabin can be reached by car in summer, in winter distance approx. 50 m. Cabin can be rented from Easter to the end of September.
