29 km to the east from Kouvola, lake Matalajärvi 15 m (length 0,6 km, width 0,6 km), sandy, hard shallow beach, own boat and pier.

Wooden cottage 1970, renovated in 2011, kitchen, living room with a spreadable sofa (130 cm) one additional bed, bedroom (10 m²) with a double bed, bedroom (9 m²) with two beds, WC, washing room, sauna (electric sauna stove), lobby, covered porch with open fireplace. Air source heat pump. Capacity of water boiler is 60 l, so it is advisable to use water sparingly.

There are two alternative sleeping places (by using spreadable bed) in the lakeside sauna, wood-burning sauna stove. Water must be brought from the lake by using bucket, sauna is available all year round.
