In Kuhmo, Vartius, on the shore of Lake Änättijärvi, a sunny promontory, Olkiniemi, where a wonderful complex of several buildings, rv. 2001. Well suited for hunters or groups enjoying nature, the plot of the cottage is 3.2 ha and close to state hunting grounds.

The main cabin is approx. 75 m² on two floors, downstairs is a cabin with a massive slate fireplace, in the kitchen a wood stove, gas stove, dining set for 6-8, LPG refrigerator and freezer in the kitchen. Access from the living room to a sheltered loft / upstairs, which is a single space, 2 x double beds, separated by a light screen. In addition, mattresses in the loft if you don't want to use the loft for additional accommodation. Access from the loft to the balcony, from which there is a wonderful view of Lake Änättijärvi.

More space for accommodation can be found in the two-story sleepinghut with a sofa bed and mattresses on the lower floor, mattresses on the upper floor. Sleepinghut is available for accommodation only in summer, because there is no heating. Beds/mattresses can be moved from one room to another if desired. However, the site is recommended to be rented for a maximum of 10 people. Access to the sleepinghut is along a narrow forest path.

The distance from the main cabin to the sauna is approx. 20 m along, where there is a spacious sauna room with a kitchenette with a fireplace and a sofa bed for 1-2 people in the room. Wood stove in the sauna, water is heated in a water boiler, water for the sauna with a battery pump, water for the winter. The dock on the beach, the beach is rocky and has a hard bottom, not particularly suitable for swimming.

There is also a large barbecue hut in front of the cottage, where you can cook a variety of dishes in any weather. Space for even a larger group, good draft in the home, lots of sitting space and big windows facing the lake.

Waste point in the outdoor building / wood shelter. Behind the cottage located the outdoor toilet with separate toilets for both men and women. Path along the long trees to the shore, where there is a large fixed pier, a rowing boat on the shore. The use of the engine can be agreed separately with the owner. The side of the pier has been dredged sometimes, so you can also keep your own boat there if necessary.

There is no running water in the cabin, electricity with a generator and rechargeable batteries (fuel is not included for self-use of the generator) and use must be agreed with the owner (guides if necessary). The aggregate charges the batteries and the battery current is sufficient for e.g. for lighting, coffee maker, microwave. Electric lighting (from a battery) in the main cabin and sauna. Rechargeable led lights are also available, it's also a good idea to bring your own lamps. 15 hp motor available for use in the boat, price 25 e / + own fuel, use and payment to be agreed with the owner directly.

Other: microwave oven and coffee maker, also a pan for coffee filtering. In the kitchen, there is a drain for dish water (note: the drain is used only in summer, not for winter use due to freezing). The owner brings 10-15 l of drinking water to the cottage, and more drinking water can be obtained from Lentiira 12.5 km or from Vartius 7.5 km.
