This cabin is made of planed log and is located on the shore of lake Peurajärvi and near the Hiidenportti National Park. There are 6 cabins in all in this site.
Cabin has a combined living room/kitchen with 2 beds, sleeping alcove with 2 bunk beds. Electricity, fireplace and iron stove, refrigerator, stove, sauna in same building, water well.
Rowing boats by lakes Peurajärvi and Iso-Valkeinen, life jackets, site for an open fire, smoke oven (in shared use).
Please note that during "Angling day", fishing event for children and young people, there is an annual ban on fishing in the area, eg from 9th June 0:00 to 11th June 2022 until 3 pm (more information: eraluvat.fi/en/backpack/outdoor-learning/angling-day).
WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.
Please note that there may be disturbances in the visibility of TV channels due to the remote location.
Good possibilities for trekking on marked routes in Hiidenportti National Park.
Cabin can be reached by car during summer and winter. Reservation starts at 14.00.
