105 km northeast of Helsinki, 200 m from Pyhäjärvi, with a shallow, soft sand/clay bottom, own boat. The cottage is located on a sunny plot in the center of Artjärvi in Kirkonmäki, services 1 km away. Lake view from the cottage yard.
A modest cottage built by Artjärven Rakentajien with basic amenities, such as an indoor toilet, electricity and municipal water and sewerage. Board-built cottage Lainala 1985, living area and kitchenette, sleeping alcove with two beds. Extra bed in the living room. Dressing room, washroom, sauna (electric stove), open porch. Barbecue shelter with a ball grill. Children's playground in the cottage yard.
Field path to the private beach (or via the roads by car), direct distance 200 m. On the beach, a three-person rowing boat, sun loungers and a barbecue area are available for beach relaxation and sunbathing. There is a 300 m long shoreline available, with the owner's private beach approx. 100 m long, the beach is child-friendly. The same beach is occasionally used by guests of one other cottage. The lake is 8 km long and 2 km wide, Pyhäjärvi is the 2nd deepest lake in Finland in terms of average depth.
In front of the cottage yard is a cottage road with no through traffic. In addition, a short distance behind the cottage is a private rocky forest where you can pick berries and mushrooms or otherwise enjoy the beauty of nature. The local environment is the surroundings of an old farm.
There are also several public beaches within a few kilometers in the vicinity, such as Pyykkinekka and Vuorenmäki 2 km away, if you want to enjoy beach life even more and explore the surroundings. There is also a ball field, a sand pit and a summer theater near the swimming beach. Other local sports facilities: sports hall and gym 3 km, cross-country skiing trails and skating rink (taking winter conditions into account), fitness trails and a local sports facility 1 km away in the Artjärvi village center in the Kotokolmio area. The village also has a bank and restaurant services, a grocery store and a pharmacy. The most famous Artjärvi product brands are Ruskovilla and CreArte, and it is worth visiting their factory stores when traveling in the area.
