Nostalgic and charming complex on a sunny and spacious beach plot. An old house full of history and a newer small house with amenities. Laurinniemi is suitable for traditional-style vacationing and, for example, for holding small-scale events. Pets are allowed, but only in the newer house.

35 km to the south from the center of Pello, lake Ajankijärvi 50 m, shallow beach suitable for children as well, clay/sand bottom, rowing boat, and a pier. The length of the lake is 7 km, the width at the cabin is 500 m.

There are two houses in Laurinniemi. The old log house (100 m²) was built in 1919 and is furnished in the style of that time. The house has living room, kitchen, and hall. There are two beds in the living area. One bedroom with 2 beds and alcove with one bed.
The house has electricity and kitchen equipment, e.g. microwave oven, electric stove, and refrigerator. There is a TV in the living area.
The old house has no water supply and the ovens in it are not in use. The heating works with separate electric radiators.

The newer house (70 m²) was built in 1970 and expanded and renovated in 2023. The house has living room, kitchenette, bedroom, sleeping alcove, and WC. In the kitchenette, there is a sink and a drain, the water in the house is lake water. Owner brings the drinking water. At a distance of about 100 m, there is also a small spring from which drinking water can also be taken. Water is not tested every year, so we recommend that you boil your water before drinking it.
The bedroom has double bed (width 140 cm), 2 separate beds in the sleeping alcove. In the living room, e.g. TV and heat-storing fireplace. Air source heat pump. There is no shower in the house.

Lakeside sauna with steam room and dressing room. There is a wood-burning sauna stove and cauldron for heating up water in the sauna. Water to the sauna must be brought by using a bucket from the lake, the distance is 10 m.
