Silver log cabin Yli-Kitka is located by a clear lake Kitkajärvi, nearby fell Riisitunturi, built in 1994. Excellent gently deepening sandy beach, some stones on the shore, grill hut on shore, rowing boat, pier.
Main room, bedroom with 2 beds, alcove with convertible sofa, kitchen and loft (steep stairs) with 2 mattresses. Wood heated sauna in same building. Household water from well (water is not examined every year so boiling the drinking water is recommended).
In additon to electric radiator heating there is a heat retaining fireplace and iron stove with cooking plate.
Reservations begin at 4 pm on arrival day and end at noon (12 o'clock) on departure day. Also weekend reservations end on Sunday at noon.
The surroundings offer great possibilities for differenet kind of activities. Lake is famous for little vendaces and big trouts. Possible to fish with lures and nets with valid lisences (not included in the rent). Hiking routes of Riisitunturi National park are nearby.
A disc golf basket and discs at disposal.
Posio 32 km, Kuusamo (e.g. spa Kuusamon Tropiikki) 60 km, Ruka resort 35 km, Riisitunturi National Park 9 km, Oulanka National Park 40 km, cafe-deli Korpihilla 6 km. Snowmobile route to Ruka (32 km).
Cabin can be reached by car year-round.
