Planed log holiday cabin, built 1991, located on shore of untouched, fishy lake Ruokojärvi.
Downstairs: living room with sofa bed for 2 persons and kitchen. Loft (sloping ceilings, maximum height 160 cm) with double bed and single bed. Steep stairs to the loft. Solar panel lighting, stove heating, gas cooker and gas refrigerator, dishes and cooking utensils. The caretaker will bring drinking water, household water from lake.
Yard: lakeside sauna, woodshed, place for grilling, pier. As an alternative beds there is an outbuilding, where convertible sofa for 2 persons (no heating).
There is a cage for a dog on the yard, however it's not allowed to bring pets inside the cabin.
Suomussalmi (bank, gas station, post office, health center) ab. 32 km. The State-owned hunting grounds are only a couple of kilometers away.
Cabin can be reached by car during the summer, not in winter (if not otherwise agreed).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option.
